In the middle of January, we had our pre-settlement meeting. It was supposed to be a week before we closed, but it took a month before all the appraisal issues were resolved. Anyway, here are pictures from that day:
View of the Living Room from the Stairs
Hall Bathroom - guest bathroom for now, eventually it will become a kids bathroom.
The baby's room.
Our shared office.
Master Bathroom - I can't wait to get in that tub!
Master bath vanity.
Kitchen take 1
Kitchen take 2
Kitchen take #3 - I'm so excited to have filtered water on the fridge :)
And finally, the half bath.
The painters finished yesterday and it looks amazing, so much better than white. I'll get some pics of that up soon.

Catching Up, Part 1
Yesterday we closed on our house. I can't believe it is finally ours and we are now homeowners!! The painters are there today and tomorrow, it is going to look amazing when those boring white walls are gone :)
When we last left off, the granite slabs needed to be replaced and the drywall had just been finished...
The second set of granite slabs came in only a few days later and they were much better. There are still spots of white, but they are much smaller and I like how it looks (plus it lightens the whole slab up)
A week or two before Christmas, the house was pretty much done...
Kitchen cabinets were installed, but no counters or appliances yet.
Tile in the bathroom is looking great!
Horrible photo of the master bath vanity.
This bathroom was installed incorrectly. It's missing the decorative tiles you see in the master, and the towel bar and soap dish were not supposed to be there.
I then went out again, a few days after Christmas. I didn't take a lot of picture because they were painting (the boring white) and there was plastic everywhere.
But you can see the counters and appliances were installed.
And there was snow!
We made one more visit in January, but that will be Part 2.

Big Annoucement!!
Well last time I posted was back in December so let me update you all. Construction finished in early January and we were supposed to close within two weeks of that. We ended up having a bunch of delays, mainly due to the appraisal, but I am happy to say that we are closing on Thursday and moving the following weekend.
But the real reason I've been MIA is this little cutie:
The morning sickness and fatigue made pretty much everything unappealing. I just entered the second trimester today and we'll be bringing our little baby home sometime in August.
Stay tuned for more house and baby updates :)

Real Live Rooms!
My hubby and I took a quick visit out to the house yesterday to see the drywall installed. It is so cool how different it feels now with the rooms enclosed then when just the framing was in. It really feels like a home now and I am so excited to move - I hope the next month and a half flys by because I can't wait to be there!
The sidewalks were dry and it was so nice to just walk up to the front door instead of climbing through mud and rocks.
View from the stairs - I love this angle!
My office/guestroom. I need to figure out a better spot to take pictures from for the two offices/bedrooms.
Hubby's office.
Guest bathroom.
Laundry Room.
Our bedroom.
I am so in love with these windows!
Our bathroom - that tub keeps calling my name and I can't wait to get in it.
The garage was still full of cabinets and doors and trim (oh my!) They should be installed soon and the first coat of paint will also be going up. There is about one month of construction left, plus holidays and inspections, so we should be settling by Jan 15th. I keep promising more exciting photos and I think they are finally coming.

Here is the Living Room, the first floor isn't too different with the drywall since it is one big open room. You see that big black box on the floor? That is a propane heater. Ugh, it was HOT and throwing off some nasty fumes. We made our visit pretty quick b.c of it so if the pictures aren't too great it's because I was rushing to get out.
