The Bathrooms

For a few weeks there was nothing going on and then - BAM!  Time to pick all of our finishes.

First stop was at the Tile showroom to make our selections for the bathrooms.  We had our little category to choose from and decided on this:

The floor tiles are 12"x12" and will be set on the diagonal.  The wall tiles are 10"x14" and will be in the shower and the tub surround.  Our master bathroom will have a shower that is about 3'x3' and a separate jetted tub (so excited for that!).  The hall bathroom has a regular shower/tub combo.  And those pretty mosaic tiles will be the accent along all the walls.

We have to do all our painting after the closing, so I picked up a fan deck at Sherwin Williams. Softer Tan seems to be the best match to tiles:

All of our cabinets are coming from Timberlake Cabinetry.  We chose to go with the Scottsdale style in Maple Cognac for the vanities:

And the counters will be in Wheat granite:

I don't know exactly what all of the hardware and lighting will look like, but it will all be Oil Rubbed Bronze.

There weren't any choices to be made for the Powder room, but I fell in love with this picture on Centsational Girl before we even bought the house:

As soon as I visited the model I knew I wanted to do this in our Powder room.  We took a look at these kinds of tiles at the show room and my husband loves the Waterfall colors (they didn't have a varied length sample to give us):

Special projects like this will have to be done after we take possession of the house, but we are planning to do this right away, hopefully before we even move in.

We have also picked out our Kitchen and Flooring finishes, but I'll save those for another post.

And we also got some unexpected good news - the units in our building are selling fast and it looks like our construction start date may get pushed up!
