I had the cooking channel on one day for background noise and caught a tip that has made a huge impact: use a potato masher when cooking ground meat.
I have no idea what show this came from, but it works so well! I've used this trick a few times when cooking sausage for my tomato sauce. It breaks the meat up into the perfect little chunks and it cooks up much faster. This is one you have to try!
